Cookie and Local Storage Policy

This page explains how AuraToday uses cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies.

Last updated: May 18, 2026

What we use today

AuraToday currently appears to rely mainly on localStorage rather than non-essential tracking cookies. LocalStorage is used to remember the selected theme and to store a simple daily usage counter for the free luck test experience.

These browser-side values are functional and help the site behave consistently on the same device.

Current local storage items

Theme preference: used to remember whether the visitor selected light mode, dark mode, or system mode.

Daily usage limiter: used to remember how many free luck tests have been generated on the current device for the current day.

Cookies and analytics

If the site does not currently run analytics, advertising, personalization, or third-party tracking cookies, do not claim that it does. Keep this page aligned with production.

If analytics or marketing tools are added later, the operator should update this policy, classify each cookie or storage technology by purpose, and where required collect consent before activating non-essential tracking.

How visitors can control storage

Visitors can clear browser data, remove local storage, or use browser privacy settings to limit stored data on their device.

Clearing local storage may reset theme preferences and daily usage counts.

When a consent banner may be needed

A consent banner is more likely to be needed if the site starts using analytics cookies, advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or other non-essential storage technologies.

If the site remains limited to strictly functional browser storage, a detailed policy page may be enough in some cases, but the operator should still review the requirements that apply to the countries where visitors are located.
